Built on a Simple Idea
Clever Carpentry LLC started with a simple idea: carpentry work should be done right, explained clearly, and delivered by someone who actually cares whether you're happy with it. Too many homeowners have a story about a contractor who disappeared halfway through a job, missed a deadline without a word, or left them guessing about costs - we built this business to be the opposite of that experience.
We're a small, owner-operated shop, which means every project gets real attention instead of getting passed down a chain of subcontractors. Whether it's a single custom shelf or a full kitchen remodel, we bring the same measuring-twice, cutting-once mindset and the same respect for your home and your budget to every job that comes through the door.
Meet Darryl
Darryl is the hands, the hammer, and the voice on the other end of the phone at Clever Carpentry. His path into carpentry came from a simple love of building things that last - turning rough lumber into furniture, cabinetry, and additions that a family can actually use for years to come. That hands-on curiosity turned into a craft, and eventually into Clever Carpentry LLC.
What sets Darryl apart isn't just the woodworking - it's the way he works with people. He'll walk your project with you before a single board is cut, explain your options honestly (including when the simpler option is the smarter one), and keep you in the loop the whole way through. No jargon, no surprises - just straightforward carpentry from someone who treats your home like it matters, because it does.
Craft and Communication, In Equal Measure
Good carpentry is equal parts craft and communication, and we take both seriously. Every project starts with listening - to your goals, your budget, and how you actually want to use the space - before a single measurement is taken. From there, it's careful planning, quality materials, and the kind of patient attention to detail that shows up in the finished piece.
